Mr Tan Siang Leong, 22, a second-year Banking and Finance student at Singapore Institute of Management, has been watching the stock market closely, learning what he can right now about it.
Stock investing is something he'll definitely do when he starts working. Meanwhile, the recent crisis in the financial world over subprime mortgages has him a little concerned.
Like anyone looking to enter the job market in the near future, he hopes the economy will be all rosy when he graduates.
"The only thing I'm worried about is that the world might go into a recession because of the subprime crisis," he says.
Siang Leong says he hopes to be getting $4,000 to $5,000 by age 28, both from his job and from investments. But that's not all - he wants to keep his body strong too.
"Health is wealth," says Siang Leong. "Without fitness, you cannot do what you want to do."
To this end, he swims and hits the gym. "You need to be disciplined," he says of his fitness philosophy.
"You can have membership to California Fitness but if you don't have the mental strength, you'll go nowhere."
Why you should vote for me: "Because I'm an easy-going person."

Ms Leanna Tan, 22, studies sociology so she can see what's inside people's heads.
"I like working with people, and I wanted to learn why people do the things they do," says the third-year sociology undergraduate.
This is her last year in her course, and Leanna thinks she'll move into public relations work or educational training when she graduates.
The latter is nothing new to Leanna. She's currently doing educational training part-time for school students, designing and leading programmes on grooming, etiquette, leadership skills, etc.
In her free time, Leanna likes to hang out with her family, eating, playing games and watching movies together. She'll also take her dog - a maltese - out for long walks.
"I'm a very big family person," she declares. It's no surprise then, when she says her long-term personal goal is make sure "my family is comfortable, and start one of my own".
Leanna also hopes to start her own cafe one day.
"I believe people should have a place where they can be comfortable and engage in the two most important things in life – food and friendship."
Why you should vote for me: "Because I have a lot to offer."
