Mr Bernard Goh, 27, is the general manager of Fabulous Tan, a tanning salon along Tan Quee Lan Street.
Formerly a flight attendent, he found out about tanning salons on one of his overseas trips. Trying them out, Bernard discovered they were a quick and safe alternative to sunshine.
And besides giving him a business idea, his time as a flight attendent taught him to be positive when dealing with difficult passengers and situations.
"People always think they'll meet nasty crew and colleagues. It's up to you to tune your mind so you feel better on a flight. And if you solve a problem, people do come to thank you for your good service," says Bernard.
His definition of success?
"I will feel successful if, at the end of the day, I can rest with a smile, and wake up with a smile; if I make someone's life better and the business keeps growing.
Why you should vote for me: "I'm someone who's always full of energy and positive."

Ms Edna Chai, 30, an account manager in the advertising line, is a frequent traveller.
She goes overseas each month, mainly to the region on business trips, and further away if it's for leisure. For work, Edna travels to meet regional counterparts, clients and check on marketing collaterals. For leisure, anywhere will do, since she likes to explore new places.
But Edna says she is a "city person".
One of her favourite destinations is Hong Kong, which she visits four times a year because her aunties and grandma are there, and also because it's a "great place for eating and shopping."
Of course, there's still much of the world to see. "I would like to travel around the world, especially around Europe, when I'm still young, before I'm married," says Edna.
Another dream of hers is to start her own company - one that sells bags. "I'm interested in collecting bags and I have contacts," says Edna.
Why you should vote for me: "I'm easy going and friendly."
