Mr Lee Lim, 25, is an Analyst with Accenture, a management consulting and technology services firm.
To balance his hectic working schedule, the computer engineering degree holder makes time to keep fit - a habit he picked up during his National Service days.
"If I don't exercise, I feel weird," said the boyish-looking bachelor, who runs, jogs and swims, and did taekwondo and fencing in his undergrad years.
"I guess I might have been influenced by the movies I watched in my younger days, which made me think swordfighting was fun," he said, explaining how he ended up in fencing. Taekwondo, on the other hand, attracted him because it was an intense exercise that made "the heart rate go up a lot" after just a short workout.
And lest you think he is only interested in sports, Lee once organised a small robot soccer club and served on its first committee. The experience taught him how to work with strangers to organise events, an experience that is now proving handy in his current job.
"My job now is mainly project management. It's not so much to do with technical issues as it is to do with soft skills," he said. "You have to deal with vendors and clients. On one hand, you have to meet client expectations, and on the other, you have to deal with vendors to make sure they meet the deadline."
His advice on working with strangers: "You need to be patient and talk to them regularly. You have to make sure that they know they fit into the 'big picture'. If they know they fit into the big picture, they will be more motivated to get things done."
Why you should vote for me: "I have loads of patience and work well even with strangers." |

Ms Hazel Chan, 26, a Business Development Executive with a local career portal, likes the outdoors.
An avid mountain trekker, she recently went on a three-day-two-night trek up Mt Rinjani in Indonesia, where she said she saw a smaller live volcano within a dormant one.
This outgoing and out-doorsy woman is not averse to getting mud on her hands.
"You can't go mountain trekking and expect not to get dirty. I don't mind getting dirty and sharing food even if it is not properly cooked," said Hazel.
Whiners can forget about tagging along on her trips. "The people are the ones who make it fun. You don't want people who whine about being dirty, being tired," said Hazel, who is quite convinced that girls can match the mental stamina of the guys, if not better it.
"It has been proven many times in mountain climbing," she insists.
Hazel also likes roller-blading and working out on the cross-trainer in the gym.
She is not that keen on shopping and watching movies. "I prefer to do things that are different from what people usually do.
"If you go for a movie, you can't communicate with your friends. When you rollerblade, you can comunicate with them and enjoy the scenery along the way."
Why you should vote for me: "I am active, tough, and not afraid of getting dirty." |
