Mr Franco Gou, 23, a Cosmetic Tanning Consultant, has been a familiar face on the catwalks since he made his debut five years ago. He was talent scouted off the streets for ”Hunkquest@Illusion and “Are you red hot@ Embassy”¨ when he was still a polytehnic student.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

As a natural progression of modelling, he has moved on to co-finding a sun tanning consultancy.

"The beauty and cosmetics industry is actually a viable business option,” says Franco on his decision to branch into this line.

"Tanning outdoors is actually harmful to our skin, as the sun rays are not filtered. Tanning indoors with UV machines actually gives one an even tan, and the radiation levels are also under controlled conditions.”

Franco is also an avid fashion follower and dreams of making it to the catwalks in Paris, especially modelling for Dolce & Gabbana.

His role model? Franco cites local model Colin Wee, who was groomed by Gucci, as an inspiration.

Ms Esther Tang, 27, an Account Executive from Citibank Singapore loves the great outdoors. For her, the ideal weekend is spent by the beach.

"Just lazing around helps recharge me for the week ahead," she says.

That's why she is thrilled to find out that Ibiza, famed for its sunset parties, has opened Cafe Del Mar on Sentosa Siloso Beach.

"I am itching to check out the place out and hit the beach!" she enthuses.

Esther used to work for a local hotel for three years.

Declaring that "you only live once", she says she is all for "doing something different for a change." That prompted her to join Citibank so that she could break out of her comfort zone.

Still passionate about being involved in the hospitality business, she has set her sights on starting her very own F&B business. "In the near future perhaps, I hope to run my own cafe, tucked away in a cosy corner in the CBD."
