Mr Arthur Weng, 25, a client service executive in a market research firm, likes music, any kind of music.

"When I was younger, I was inspired by all these bands, like 'Oasis'. It made me want to pick up the guitar," recalls Arthur.

He eventually did about six years back, and these days, Arthur plays for his church worship every fortnight.

The football fan may also find the performances of his favourite club - Newcastle United - somewhat more inspiring this season. "We finally improved our defence," he says, cautiously looking forward to how this season will turn out.

"As a game to watch, football is very exciting - the things they can do with a ball, the many different types of tactics."

But he doesn't just watch it. Every week, he gets together with a group of friends for a kickabout. "Football as a sport is quite a good workout," says Arthur.

Looking forward, he says his goal is just to be happy in whatever he does.

"Whatever happens, whatever job, whatever I do, I'll just try to put in my best effort.

Ms Evonne Lee, 29, will be heading to Chicago next month for five weeks.

She'll be there to undergo training to become a flight attendant with United Airlines. Not that the job will be anything too new for her, as she has been one for the past six years, albeit with Singapore Airlines.

"It was my childhood ambition," said Evonne about becoming a Singapore Girl. "It was about wearing the kebaya and being composed and pretty."

Working on a flight means serving people from CEOs to ordinary travellers from all over the world. It means constantly reminding oneself to treat everyone the same regardless of whether they are flying in first class or economy class.

In other words, "don't be so judgemental", says Evonne.

Before, when work got to her, she would relieve stress by doing some jogging or kickboxing. These days, it's cooking and baking, and Evonne is using her current break from work to attend baking course.

The reason for the change in interests? "Maybe I'm getting mature and am starting to think of getting a family!
