More than 24 hours since Jemaah Islamiah leader Mas Selamat Kestari escaped from Whitley detention centre, the islandwide search for him continues.

Some 100 army personnel were also deployed to boost police resources in and around the Dunearn Road-Goldhill Avenue area. Security at nearby schools were also stepped up.
