Isn’t it a bummer when you’re stuck outdoors, under the blazing sun or a sudden downpour, without an umbrella? And it doesn’t help if you are loaded with lots of shopping bags.
Well, 30 students from the St Gabriel’s Primary School were at Orchard road on Saturday with bright and cherry orange brollies to help alleviate that situation.
Shoppers and tourists passing through Ngee Ann City and The Paragon got to try out their umbrella ferrying services.
“This is my first time doing such kind of activity and I am very happy to be involved in the Operation Big Help Orange Squad. I even ferry my own principle, Miss Antonia Teng! I feel great when the people smile and thank me when I ferry them. I think this is a fun and good way to help these people at Orchard Road,” said Joshua Tan, a Primary 3 student from St Gabriel’s.
“Share-An-Umbrella Day” it is one of the many sharing initiatives under The Big Help, a kidsdriven pro-social campaign by Nickelodeon.
