An Alaskan ethics inquiry says Sarah Palin abused her authority by pushing for the sacking of a state trooper.

The inquiry says the US Republican vice-presidential contender pressured subordinates in her role as state governor to fire the state trooper,who was involved in a bitter divorce battle with her sister.
