Normal business has been cut at the Republican National Convention because of Hurricane Gustav.

With most opinion polls showing Barack Obama and John McCain in a very close race, the loss of one or more convention days because of Hurricane Gustav could be a setback for McCain, who is hoping to get a big bounce out of the four-day nominating convention.
