Credit crunch buoys Wall Street bars
Oct 04, 2008
Unpredictable markets are boosting business at Harry's Cafe, a drinking establishment popular with Wall Street traders.
Bar owner Harry Poulakakos witnessed the stock market crash in 1987, which led to hundreds losing their jobs. But, this credit crunch was the worst that he had seen. After the Dow Jones was down 778 points on Sep 29, Harry's trade was up 20 per cent.
