China's capital gears up to host the 2008 Paralympics, with the government keen to show how it's trying to improve conditions for its 83 million disabled people.

The capital's 1,400 "Sweet Homes", as well as 150 larger community centres, were set up by the Beijing Municipal Government in the run up to the Paralympics.
