Introducing The King of Herrings, a trophy fish if ever there was one from the depths of the Pacific offshore eastern Taiwan. It looks more well-fed snake than fish, spanning 3.5 metres from mouth to tail.

Anglers the world over will surely want to know what kind of bait was used to catch it. The proud fisherman who landed it says it was Pacific saury, known in other parts as sanma or mackerel pike.
