"Samak fight on", they shout in support of their Prime Minister - a small consolation for a leader who has been confronted outside government buildings and his own compound by thousands of people who want him ousted from office.

Thailand's Prime Minister has called an emergency meeting in parliament to discuss anti-government protests in Bangkok. Thousands of people have been demonstrating for several days - they're calling for Samak Sundaravej to resign amid allegations he is merely a front for the exiled Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
