Passengers on-board a Sudanese flight which was hijacked and forced to land in Libya have been freed.

The airliner was seized on Tuesday after leaving Darfur for the Sudanese capital of Khartoum. The hijackers had demanded the plane be flown to France but it landed in Libya where following a standoff, the authorities said the hijackers surrendered.
