Crash test warning
Aug 21, 2008
German autobmobile association ADAC drives cars with a good safety rating into walls at 80 km/h - with shocking results.
Usual crash tests are conducted at 64 kilometres, or around 40 miles, an hour, and the ADAC says driving just 16 kilometres an hour faster makes a crash much more dangerous for the passengers. They're now calling for driver assistance systems to be installed in cars and advise consumers to spend as much as they can on such features.
