After 23 years, the worldwide ban on whaling has had some success - several species are beginning to recover. Humpback, minke, and southern right whales are pulling back from the brink of extinction - and whale-hunting nations are keen to resume the kill.

Greenpeace, however, is calling for the whaling ban to stay.
