Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says he will leave office in two months.

Olmert will not run in his Kadima party's leadership contest on Sept. 17, clearing the way for rivals to try to form a new government.

Olmert, who has been in office since January 2006, is the subject of a number of police investigations into allegations of corruption.
