Supporters of Pakistan's assassinated former prime minister Benazir Bhutto have marked her birthday by giving blood.

Hundreds of people thronged her mausoleum to observe what would have been her 55th birthday and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani used the day to make a plea to spare thousands of prisoners on death row.
