Manchester United and England soccer star, Wayne Rooney, has tied the knot in Italy with his long-time girlfriend Coleen McLoughlin.

The ceremony took place in the 17th century Villa Durazzo in Italy and was attended by family and close friends of the couple. Guests were reported to have each been given a box containing a butterfly to release after the ceremony. The wedding apparently cost five million pounds (S$13.4 million dollars).
