Tens of thousands of South Korean protesters have begun a 72-hour relay protest against a government decision to resume US beef imports.

The 3-day rally caps more than a week of anti-government demonstrations - sparked by President Lee Myung-Bak's decision to renew US beef imports, which were suspended in 2003 after the emergence of BSE, or mad cow disease.
