First there was Wi-Fi. Now, WiMax may be the next big thing in wireless connectivity.

Two companies, Sprint Nextel and Clearwire, will soon build a nationwide, high-speed wireless internet network in the U.S. based on emerging WiMax technology. It will provide broadband wireless service over a much greater area than current WiFi.
